Answers to common setup and recognition questions.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press Ctrl + Alt + F to find visible text, or Ctrl + Alt + T to extract a selected region. Change either shortcut in Settings if another application already uses it. Press Esc to close a capture.

No text or missing language

Make sure the text is visible and large enough to read in the frozen capture. Select an installed Windows OCR language in GlanceFind Settings. Windows language features can be added in Windows Settings → Time & language → Language & region. Refresh after the screen changes.

Wrong monitor or stale results

The shortcut captures the monitor beneath the pointer. Choose another display from the overlay toolbar. GlanceFind recognizes a snapshot; use Refresh to capture changed content.

Where are my captures?

GlanceFind keeps no capture history and does not save screenshots automatically. Text is copied or saved only when you choose those actions.

Compatibility

GlanceFind requires Windows 11 build 22000 or later, on x64 or ARM64. Recognition uses Windows OCR languages installed on your device.
