GlanceFind privacy
Effective October 3, 2026. Published by ML Dev.
Screen capture and text
GlanceFind captures a monitor only when you request Find or Extract. Windows OCR runs locally on your device. The app does not upload screen images or recognized text, create an account, or keep capture history.
The capture and recognized text remain in memory during the workflow. The extraction panel keeps the selected image region in memory so you can recognize it again with another installed language. Closing the workflow releases the app's references to these images and text.
Text goes to the Windows clipboard only when you choose Copy or Copy selected match. The app writes a UTF-8 text file only when you choose Save text and select a destination. Clipboard contents and saved files remain under your control.
Local preferences
GlanceFind stores only shortcut, language, theme, and optional launch-at-sign-in preferences locally on your Windows account. These preferences do not contain captures or recognized text. Launch at sign-in is off by default.
Network and diagnostics
The app has no cloud OCR, advertising, or application analytics. Its production build has no developer screenshot-diagnostics mode. The app does not need this website to perform capture or recognition.
